This full-year course is designed to be a detailed study of the structures and functions of the human body. The course will present information on all 11 systems, pathology, real-world connections to the overall health, function, and careers involving the human body. The course will also explore relevant medical and social topics. The intention of this course is to serve as a strong foundation for future college coursework in a physical therapy, sports medicine, nursing, or medical program. A highlight of this course is a field trip to the University of Rhode Island Physical Therapy Lab and viewing cadavers.
