This course exams human development across the lifespan with emphasis upon research, theoretical perspectives, and common physical, cognitive, emotional, and social developmental milestones. Course content highlights educational and familial contexts through a multidisciplinary approach of human development in relation to physiological, social, emotional, cognitive, language, and cultural influences. Course instruction includes engaging discussions on major theories that explain biophysical, cognitive, emotional and social development through the various life stages—prenatal, childhood, adolescence, and adulthood.
