This course emphasizes the foundations of government, institutions of government, and political behavior in the United States. The course begins with review and study of the Constitution and political landscape. Later, focus will be given to political behaviors—including an in-depth look at political parties, voting, elections, and the campaign process. Students are expected to read and analyze current events for points of discussion and papers.
