In this course, students will learn about marine biology by studying one of the largest marine ecosystems in Rhode Island, the Narragansett Bay. Students will learn basic oceanography, types of marine ecosystems, marine animals, as well as how weather and human activities can affect marine ecosystems. This will all be done through our perspectives as Rhode Islanders and the ecosystems around us.
