Course Syllabus(For Reference Only)

This course provides students with an understandingof economics ranging from the viewpoint of the individual consumer or small business owner to the global economy. Students study the law of supply and demand, forms of business, labor unions, government finances and influence on the economy, money and prices, and inflation and deflation cycles. Course content relates history and politics to the study of economics while building on real-world economic applications to create a basic understanding of economic concepts and economic systems. Students will be introduced to the basics of economic principles, learn the importance of understanding different economic systems and investigate how to think like an economist while exploring different economic systems.
